"Tratti" Collection by Gumdesign

The poetry and magic in the meeting of marble and diamond, two natural elements which, under the creative auspices of designers Laura Fiaschi and Gabriele Pardi of Gumdesign, came together in a new symbiosis to give rise to the Tratti collection, made in collaboration with Marmi Sacco of Salerno.
Description
The collection includes three centrepieces in white Carrara marble, featuring regular repetitions of geometric inlays of DiamArt micro diamond surface from the Caracto collection in Infinity Black
The idea arises from the union of opposing forces, in which diamond, always used to cut and shape marble, now becomes the element used to embellish it, creating a new and symbiotic relationship with the object, which appears to aspire to immortality, like the marks of the soul that bear witness to memories in time.
Project development
The collection demanded considerable expertise and ingenuity from the companies involved. The twin souls of industry and craftsmanship were expressed at every stage of the process.
Marble is a living material which required appropriate research and working methods to create the perfect recess to accommodate the fine strip of micro diamond. And the DiamArt surfaces were designed specifically to allow them to adhere to the marble, with a thickness of 0.5 mm and a width of 3 mm.
The regularity of the fine geometric lines in micro diamond gives the white marble object a sophisticated and eternal character which is inevitably conveyed to the space it occupies.
