Numerical control mechanical processing

High-precision technology for striking decorations

The machining of diamond surfaces where tolerances are in the range of hundredths of a millimetre necessitated the development of an ad-hoc production process.

DiamArt’s R&D division thus introduced the use of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining by developing customised technology for the perfect definition of edges, independent of the choice of diamond grain size, whilst respecting the required measurements down to a hundredth of a millimetre.

This process is specifically designed for sectors such as watchmaking and fine jewellery, where all components must meet the highest standards of quality and precision.

Characteristics:

  • Detail and compliance with tolerances in the range of hundredths of a millimetre
  • Definition of insert edges and contours, independent of the chosen diamond grain size
  • A high degree of customisation
  • Possibility of creating both one-off pieces and larger productions
