To mark the 50th United Arab Emirates National Day, DiamArt presents an exhibition at Dubai's Palazzo Versace of the world's largest and most stunning portraits in natural micro diamonds, depicting the country's leaders, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
I'll make a portrait of you in diamonds. Who wouldn't want to hear that said about them? But not many people are aware that what might sound like something out of One Thousand and One Nights is in fact a real tangible proposal.
A fact that was evident at the celebrations held at Palazzo Versace in Dubai to mark the 50th United Arab Emirates National Day. The event included an exhibition of the world's largest and most stunning micro diamond portraits, measuring 32 x 48 cm, of the country's leaders, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The portraits, both made using natural micro diamonds with more than 180 carats, were hand-made in Italy by DiamArt. These unique works of art were unveiled for the first time at Dubai's Palazzo Versace, and displayed in the entrance of the hotel from 27 November to 5 December this year.
