DiamArt at Palazzo Versace Dubai with the world's largest micro diamond portraits
To mark the 50th United Arab Emirates National Day, DiamArt presents an exhibition at Dubai's Palazzo Versace of the world's largest and most stunning portraits in natural micro diamonds, depicting the country's leaders, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
I'll make a portrait of you in diamonds. Who wouldn't want to hear that said about them? But not many people are aware that what might sound like something out of One Thousand and One Nights is in fact a real tangible proposal.
A fact that was evident at the celebrations held at Palazzo Versace in Dubai to mark the 50th United Arab Emirates National Day. The event included an exhibition of the world's largest and most stunning micro diamond portraits, measuring 32 x 48 cm, of the country's leaders, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The portraits, both made using natural micro diamonds with more than 180 carats, were hand-made in Italy by DiamArt. These unique works of art were unveiled for the first time at Dubai's Palazzo Versace, and displayed in the entrance of the hotel from 27 November to 5 December this year.
A unique showcase for a unique creation. The result is an achievement that once again confirms the unparalleled and extraordinary creativity of DiamArt, which completed the project with partner Sam&Bros.
This is the most astonishing and beautiful application of the technique to date, consisting of reproducing images to create genuine portraits in micro diamond surfaces.
True works of art which, thanks to DiamArt technology and craftsmanship, showcase the light-reflecting properties of diamond and faithfully capture their subjects. A stunning result in all respects: aesthetic, chromatic and artistic.
A unique and exclusive product of incredible appearance and exceptional value. The genesis of the project summarises the world of DiamArt. The idea came from DiamArt's quest for new applications for its micro diamond surfaces and its desire to overcome the limitations of monochrome products.
“It was an extremely tough challenge from the technical perspective. Thanks to perseverance and teamwork”, explains Elisa Ferrari, Sales & Marketing Director and co-founder of DiamArt, “we succeeded in developing and patenting a unique production method which relies on colouring every individual setting for the micro diamonds, allowing us to play with different shades and reproduce real images to create portraits using our micro diamond surfaces. It's a further enhancement of the technique that underlies DiamArt's creativity”.
These artworks are created on demand; they are items with immense value in terms of technology and craftsmanship, and by their very nature they demand complete personalisation. They are 100% custom-made; there is nothing similar produced in the world. An outcome that confirms DiamArt's place as an exclusive high-end luxury brand.
